WHY TEAMJAMS WORKS
Music, creativity, and collaboration form one of the most powerful combinations in team development. TeamJams brings those elements together in a way that helps teams connect faster, communicate better, and perform with more confidence and clarity.
Below is the science, the psychology, and the practical impact behind why TeamJams consistently works for corporate groups of all sizes.
The Science Behind the Experience
Music unlocks parts of the brain that meetings can’t.
Music activates multiple neural networks at once — emotional, linguistic, motor, and memory. When teams write and perform together, they experience:
-
Increased dopamine → higher engagement and motivation
-
Boosted oxytocin → stronger interpersonal trust
-
Faster neural bonding → improved communication
-
Lower cortisol → reduced stress and more openness
This is why groups warm up and connect faster during TeamJams than in traditional team-building sessions.

The Method
A structured creative process that makes collaboration effortless.
TeamJams uses a repeatable four-part method that works for any group:

1. Shared Creativity
Teams start with a blank page and one clear goal: rewrite the lyrics to a familiar song.
This removes hierarchy, breaks down silos, and gets everyone contributing quickly.

2. Rapid Idea Generation
Lyric writing requires ideas, compromise, and collective decision-making — fast.
It forces people to listen, build, and adapt in real time.

3. Rehearsal & Play
The rehearsal phase blends confidence-building with teamwork.
People loosen up, support each other, and step outside comfort zones safely.

4. Performance & Celebration
The live performance finale cements the experience.
Teams celebrate each other, laugh together, and create a shared memory that lasts.

FAQ
1. What exactly is TeamJams?
TeamJams is a facilitated team-building experience where small groups rewrite the lyrics to a popular song and perform it together.
It blends creativity, collaboration, and live group energy to strengthen communication, trust, and culture.
2. Do participants need any musical experience?
No. None at all.
The workshop is designed for non-musicians, introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between.
If your team can talk, laugh, and brainstorm, they can do TeamJams.
3. How many people can we include?
TeamJams works for groups as small as 10 and as large as 300+.

11. Do you travel?
Yes — and here's how we think about it:
London & Southwestern Ontario (year-round) We serve London and the surrounding area — including Woodstock, St. Thomas, Strathroy, and St. Marys/Stratford — year-round with no hesitation. This is our home territory.
Greater Ontario & GTA (April through November). From April through November we're happy to travel throughout the GTA and across Ontario. A travel fee applies for locations beyond the London area.
Winter travel beyond Southwestern Ontario SW Ontario winters are unpredictable — a sunny day in Toronto can mean a blizzard in London. For that reason we limit out-of-area travel between December and March. For high-value winter bookings further afield, we'll discuss an overnight option to make it work safely.
Not sure if your location works? Just ask — we'll always be straight with you.
12. What does pricing depend on?
Pricing varies by:
-
Group size
-
Location
-
Duration
-
Customization
-
Additional facilitators or recording options
